Kiss Your Fights Good-bye - Free First Chapter

Heated fighting triggers a biochemical imbalance in men that causes them to flee from conflict. The technical name for this is the Demand/ Withdraw Negative Escalation Cycle, also known as “husband withdrawal.” This is the number one cause of marital and relationship strife, divorce, and domestic violence.

It’s Dr. Love here..

As the New Year stretches out before you, have you thought about where you would like to be one year from now?

I mean, do you have specific dreams for your future, your work, yourself and your relationships?

Specifically, do you have what I call a “soul goal?

In my new book, Kiss Your Fights Good-bye, I teach you how to be present to those you love, how to listen to them when their feelings are hurt and even when they are angry, and how to speak when we’re angry so that those close to us want to hear and respond to us.

Follow the simple steps outlined in Kiss Your Fights Good-bye and you will soon be fulfilling your highest and most divine calling on earth--to fully love with your entire heart and soul, even in the hard times.

Wishing you a New Year filled with love and peace!

Dr. Jamie Turndorf ( aka Dr. Love)

Be aware of what you’re feeling

It is very important to be aware of what you’re feeling from moment-to-moment. Otherwise, your feelings can get easily brushed under your emotional rug, which turns you into a ticking time bomb that can explode at any moment. Instead of being in charge, you become a loose cannon on deck that fires off ammunition without warning.

Lack of awareness starts in childhood when we learn to swallow our feelings in order to avoid our parents’ anger and punishments.

As we bury our feelings, we develop unconscious defense mechanisms to help us keep our unwanted feelings, especially our angry feelings, under wraps.

Two common defense mechanisms are avoidance and denial. When we deny and avoid our feelings of anger, many problems including depression, anxiety and panic attacks, as well as physical ailments, like ulcers, headaches and colitis can result.

Displacement is yet another defense that we develop to handle anger. With displacement, we temporarily bury our anger, which we later dump or displace onto someone else. For example, if you’re angry with the boss, you might come home and kick the dog. In the case of Paula Deen, there’s a good chance that her hostile, anti racial comment was a way to vent anger that had built-up inside her from another, unrelated source. In fact, racism can be a form of displacement in which a person misdirects his/her anger onto an entire group of people.

Emotional Foot IN Mouth Disease!

Paula Deen, like millions of people, is suffering from what Dr. Turndorf calls “Emotional Foot IN Mouth Disease!” a worldwide epidemic that’s characterized by speaking without thinking and uttering words that leave behind a wake of damage.

Could you or someone close to you be suffering from the same problem?

To answer this question, ask yourself:

Is my relationship hanging in the balance because of what I or someone else has said in the heat of the moment?

Has my mouth actually caused a relationship to end?

And, if you play back a transcript of what you’ve said, do you want to cringe?

Tune in to hear Dr. Turndorf’s proven technique for controlling one’s temper and tongue.

Hosted on TalkZone, AskDrLove with Dr. Jamie Turndorf, is a live one hour Internet radio program airing at 1pm (EST) Tuesday afternoon.

Listeners can also call-in to the show and ask Dr. Turndorf for advice on any of their personal issues.

And make no mistake: Secret Warfare Fight Traps are also break-up bait! If you don't lose them, you will lose your relationship! and of course, I'll be taking your calls, so please call in and don't be shy!
